Five Years With 'Another Day'
(Editorial by Tef Johs, September 19, 2008)
Five years ago, "Another Day", Lene's second album, was released worldwide. In Norway and most other places, this happened on Monday, September 22, 2003. The dates and days are exactly like it is this year - 2008 - and this is my personal editorial about the event.
As our Italian friends over at lene.it have already done, this is my way of paying a huge tribute to the incredible loyalty and patience of the members of lene.it, as well as to mark the 5-year-anniversary for the release of "Another Day" - Lene's long-awaited second album, released on September 22, 2003. The Friday before, just as the day today, on September 19, the Italians had the pleasure of meeting Lene at the Feltrinelli Music Store in Milan, and the first official unveiling of the new album.

Lene's Financial Situation |
|

The following article is a summary of Lene's financial situation and activities for 2007, taken from the public annual tax reports. Good for closer to 7 million (Published by Framtid i Nord, August 12, 2008) It all goes well for Lene Marlin's private limited company Mellowmoment AS.
COINING IT IN: It's not often that Lene Marlin is standing on the stage. Last year, she did this during the Døgnvill Festival in Tromsø. Still, the 28-year-old from Tromsø is good for 6.9 million NOK. |

Lene with an updated Blog
(Notice by Tef Johs, September 15, 2008) Rejoice! Lene updated her official Blog today, the first update since February 14 of this year! Lene is showing her appreciation towards her loyal fans in this blog update. She summarizes the three live concert events happening in August. Sokndal on August 16, Drammen on August 22, and last but not least, Karlstad, on August 29. Obviously, she is grateful to her Italian fans, although not mentioning the word "Italian" specifically, for showing up on all gigs, both in Norway and in Sweden. She says in her blog, among other things: "It's been a great few weeks! Thank you so much for coming to see me, and be such a great support...EVERYWHERE :-). I know lots of people who just couldn't believe you all travelled so far to see the gigs! Also from other parts of Norway! The band and I were really happy to see you guys, and you really do bring something special, standing there (or sitting :-) ) in front of the stage!!! |

INTRODUCTION
The day was filled with excitement, music, and lots of people everywhere. Over 6000 of them. The place was Oslo City Shopping Mall, Oslo, the capital of Norway, and the date was September 27, 2003.
Five days earlier, one of the most remarkable comebacks in Norwegian musical history had taken place. The release of the second album from a million-selling female artist from Tromsø, that nobody had heard a single official word from for over three and a half years. I was approaching this 1.60 meters tall, somewhat shy, but very receptive young woman, as she was sitting down behind a table, giving out signatures to a line of over 500 awaiting fans. As I was having my copy of Another Day signed, and as I was having my picture taken together with her, I knew I never would stop being an admirer of this exceptionally talented and beautiful 23-year-old female star.
I then knew I could never leave Lene Marlin Pedersen behind.
