ABOUT THE lene-marlin.info WEBSITE

Established September 2008 by Tef Johs

This Site is the Legacy of the Earlier Popular Website lene-marlin.no (2003 - 2006)

In September 2003, Lene Marlin released her second album, Another Day, after having been out of the limelight for over three whole years (March 2000 - July 2003). In connection with this huge event, Lene fan Martin Scherer in Norway created a website on the domain lene-marlin.no, and hired Tef Johs to be working on the content of the site. In the weeks and months following the website's creation, the lene-marlin.no fan site blossomed, even attracting the attention of Lene Marlin herself, and her management. However, after almost three years of fruitful and dedicated collaboration, the lene-marlin.no website closed down, in April 2006, after having followed Lene through the release of her third album, Lost In A Moment, in June 2005.

This site, lene-marlin.info, is aiming to be much of what the earlier lene-marlin.no was to Lene herself, hopefully, and what it was to her dedicated fans worldwide. A Norwegian based Lene fan site is important, for many reasons. First and foremost, the absolute latest news about Lene events in Norway comes first in Norwegian press, and thus must be translated to English if the fans in the rest of the world should stand a chance of following Lene's activities. No doubt, she is mainly working in and from her native country, and most of the new events are coming up in Norway. There are exceptions to this, but a Norwegian based Lene site is nonetheless very important for the continuing support of our favourite female songwriter and musician.
